This Node Tiering System has been carefully defined with the Network’s health in mind. Values shown here might not be final and are subject to change at any time. All rewards are calculated in USD ($) but are paid in $WAYRU.

🔑 Key metrics

Uptime: Uptime denotes the duration a node remains operational and accessible, usually presented as a percentage of total possible operational time. High uptime reflects network reliability and enhances user experience.
Bandwidth: Measured in megabits per second (Mbps), is the data transfer rate across a specified path, where higher bandwidth facilitates faster data transmission, improving loading and streaming times for users.
Mean Opinion Score (MOS): Ranging from 1 to 5, is a standard measure of internet service quality encompassing factors like latency, jitter, and packet loss, primarily used in telecommunications to evaluate the quality of experience (QoE) in services like video streaming.

The differences in rewards are due to the performance and reliability of each node. The higher the uptime and bandwidth, the more valuable the node is to the network, and so it receives a higher reward. Nodes that meet higher standards receive a higher reward per gigabyte of data shared. This system incentivizes node operators to strive for high uptime, bandwidth, and MOS. As the GB price decreases, the incentives will be continuously revised and updated.
